Mechanical Pocket Watch Instructions
Although the fine Swiss mechanical movements used in Dueber watches will run for over 40 hours on a full wind, it is best to wind daily.
Winding Instructions:
Wind by turning the crown in the clockwise direction until it feels tight. This
is usually about 20-30 half turns. Once crown is too tight to turn, winding
is complete. Do not over wind (continue to wind once tight) your watch, as it
may damage or break the stem.
Setting Instructions:
To set the time, simply pull the crown to the setting position and rotate hands
to the desired position. Push the crown back in once the hand position is achieved.
Important note:
Before closing the cover on your pocket watch (if equipped), be sure
to depress the crown gently to allow the locking mechanism to fall into proper
position. Failing to do so may result in damaging the latch mechanism. If this
problem occurs, it is not covered under warranty.
